Vivid Arbor

Vivid Arbor

I saw a small silhouette piece of art at a craft fair that inspired me to do one of a similar form. I added a lot more detail and complexity to the structure of the silhouette. The background is composed of more layers than I can remember to count and there is a lot of glazing as well. The picture does not do this painting justice due to the metallic subtle highlights and vivid colors. The tree has a subtle glow from being a mixture of gold and black paint that also does not translate well in the photograph. This one is a must see in person and will be on view at my Newberg art show in the Artisinal Cellars in December.
